Pharmacy Technician
A certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) works closely with pharmacists in hospitals, drug and grocery stores, and other medical settings to help prepare and distribute medicines to patients. In many pharmacies, technicians are responsible for preparing prescriptions; performing calculations, assisting in investigative drug studies, and maintaining patient records.

Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 pm

80 hours of clinical experience done in a local pharmacy.

After completion of the course students will be able to register with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) to register for their national board exam. It is a worthwhile investment to become a board certified pharmacy technician. Being a licensed pharmacy technician will allow technicians to apply for jobs within and outside of Mississippi.
